Base Salary
$117k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance production features for Splunk AI Canvas from technical design through release and ongoing operation.
- Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and modern web engineering practices.
- Integrate frontend experiences with backend services and Splunk APIs.
- Design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows using data, tools, orchestration, and multi-step reasoning.
- Create secure and reliable software for authenticated, multi-tenant customer environments and AI-powered workflows.
- Test, debug, monitor, and improve software across the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams across Splunk and Cisco.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field plus 5 years of related experience, or a master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience.
- Experience delivering production software with TypeScript or JavaScript and React or a comparable modern web framework.
- Experience designing or integrating RESTful or HTTP-based APIs in a cloud-based or distributed software product.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and using source control and continuous integration tools in an agile software development environment.
- Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects in development or production environments.
- Preferred experience with observability, cybersecurity, search, analytics, or data-platform products.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, Go, containerized or cloud-native applications, AI agents, agentic workflows, large language models, tool use, orchestration, or Model Context Protocol.
- Preferred fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
