Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across projects and cross-functional teams building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions using Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Establish engineering standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with Python or Go and 3+ years with frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred: 3+ years with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with observability, AI-based coding tools, AI-native engineering, and AI-powered solutions using OpenAI APIs, MCPs, Agent Protocols, and orchestration.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional or large-scale initiatives, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
