Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, deploy, and maintain software-defined networking solutions for Apple cloud compute platforms.
- Design, implement, debug, write, and review software and technical design documentation.
- Participate in software qualification and rollout activities for production clusters.
- Benchmark, analyze, and improve system scale, performance, and resiliency.
- Collaborate with teams across organizations and maintain Apple’s quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science with 2+ years of systems software development experience, or a Master of Science in Computer Science.
- Strong systems programming skills and knowledge of operating-system fundamentals.
- Experience with software-defined networking and overlay networking protocols.
- Understanding of REST APIs, gRPC APIs, and distributed programming concepts.
- Fluency in Go in a systems programming context.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, parallelism, and distributed-systems concepts.
- Preferred experience with DPDK, OVS, FD.io, or FRR; BGP or VxLAN; Kubernetes; AWS, GCP, CloudStack, or OpenStack; and Java, C, C++, or Python.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, quality, design, and user-experience skills.
