Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and train reinforcement learning and multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithms for complex decision-making problems.
- Develop scalable training pipelines using Python and modern ML frameworks.
- Build and evaluate agents in Gym, PettingZoo, high-fidelity simulators, or custom environments.
- Apply policy optimization, value-based learning, model-based reinforcement learning, and imitation learning techniques.
- Define reward structures, constraints, and evaluation metrics with domain experts.
- Implement distributed training workflows using cloud compute, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Transition trained models into production systems and contribute to architecture and performance optimization.
- Extend high-performance components into C++ or Rust when appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing and training reinforcement learning agents.
- Experience in AI, data science, machine learning engineering, or software engineering.
- Experience with Gym or PettingZoo interfaces and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Experience developing technical solutions with Rust, Python, or C++.
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning and artificial neural networks.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or engineering.
- Secret clearance is required.
- Preferred qualifications include RL experience in autonomy, control systems, or mission-scale applications; multi-agent reinforcement learning; AFSIM or other high-fidelity simulators; embedded programming; GPU programming with CUDA or RAPIDS; in-space solutions; Kubernetes deployment; and TS/SCI clearance.
- A master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
