Base Salary
$120k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and own end-to-end delivery of complex security initiatives, including AI/LLM security programs, across multiple domains.
- Design and enforce security controls, compliance-audit processes, and risk-assessment standards.
- Lead design reviews, set technical direction, and mentor junior and mid-level security engineers.
- Investigate complex security incidents, including intrusion, fraud, and leaks, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Own security review processes and access controls for AI vendor tools, APIs, and agentic AI tools.
- Participate in the on-call and escalation rotation for security incidents.
- Present technical work to cross-functional groups of approximately 5–10 people.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 6–9 years of experience in security with significant project ownership.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience architecting security controls and leading risk assessments.
- At least 1 year of experience informally mentoring engineers or leading design reviews.
- Advanced expertise in compliance regulations, IT risk management, GRC, cloud security architecture, and AI security threat models.
- Experience independently investigating complex incidents and designing security review processes for AI vendor tools and APIs.
- Preferred: advanced security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Preferred: deep experience securing AI vendor tools and APIs, including Gemini and Vertex AI, in a regulated environment.
