Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and implement AI use cases within SAP business processes, applications, and enterprise environments.
- Design and develop AI-enabled solutions using SAP Business AI capabilities and SAP BTP services.
- Develop and integrate applications using SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, and related SAP AI services.
- Integrate generative AI and LLM capabilities into SAP applications and business processes using APIs, SDKs, and SAP BTP services.
- Build AI-powered SAP BTP extensions and side-by-side applications following clean-core and modern extensibility principles.
- Integrate SAP systems, SAP BTP, AI services, and external systems using APIs, OData services, events, and integration technologies.
- Prepare, consume, and enrich SAP data and business objects for AI-powered scenarios.
- Design and implement RAG, embeddings, vector search, and knowledge-based AI solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate external AI/ML services and models with SAP environments.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to demonstrate AI use cases and business value.
- Analyze SAP applications and processes for automation, intelligent assistance, prediction, classification, summarization, and other AI capabilities.
- Investigate incidents and technical issues, providing workarounds, fixes, and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure solutions address security, data privacy, scalability, reliability, and responsible AI requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver maintainable, production-ready SAP solutions.
- Participate in SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP implementation, transformation, and clean-core projects involving AI and intelligent automation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in SAP development, consulting, integration, or technical implementation, with significant SAP BTP and/or SAP Business AI exposure.
- Hands-on SAP BTP experience and familiarity with its core services and development environments.
- Practical experience implementing or integrating AI/ML or generative AI solutions in SAP or enterprise environments.
- Understanding of generative AI concepts including LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases or search, and RAG.
- Experience integrating AI services and models through APIs, SDKs, or cloud services.
- Experience with SAP Business AI, SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, or related SAP AI technologies.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA and SAP business processes, including identifying suitable AI use cases.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Java, or ABAP.
- Experience with REST APIs, OData, JSON, and cloud-based integration technologies.
- Understanding of SAP BTP architecture, including Cloud Foundry and relevant BTP services.
- Understanding of security, authentication, authorization, and data protection for AI solutions.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical AI solutions.
- Preferred experience with SAP Joule, SAP CAP, SAPUI5/Fiori, ABAP RAP, Microsoft Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, AI/ML frameworks, vector databases, knowledge graphs, AI agents, SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, Git-based development, CI/CD, DevOps, and SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Preferred knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, model evaluation, and AI security.
- Relevant SAP BTP, SAP Business AI, AI/ML, or SAP development certifications are desirable.
