Responsibilities

  • Define and review software architecture and technical solutions for mission-critical railway systems.
  • Lead design reviews, technical discussions, code reviews, and pull request approvals.
  • Guide developers implementing solutions with VB.NET and SQL Server.
  • Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Mentor developers, provide technical guidance, and reduce technical debt.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to refine requirements.
  • Monitor progress, ensure on-time delivery, and identify and mitigate technical risks and bottlenecks.
  • Consolidate stakeholder knowledge related to railway systems.

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing with VB.NET.
  • Solid SQL Server experience, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Proven technical leadership or senior-level experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Repos, Boards, and Pipelines.
  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD.
  • Experience conducting code reviews, design reviews, technical analysis, and pull request approvals.
  • Ability to evaluate technical solutions and trade-offs, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced English is mandatory.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally according to project and customer needs.
  • Railway or train dispatching systems, mission-critical or real-time systems, legacy modernization, DevOps automation, and full-stack knowledge are desirable.
