Responsibilities
- Build and operate scalable backend infrastructure for the Databricks platform.
- Develop foundational infrastructure platforms that operate across geographic regions and cloud providers.
- Implement cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions for managing and operating services.
- Develop tools and processes that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience.
- Contribute to programming language tooling, linters, static analysis, IDEs, remote development environments, release pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
- Participate in design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations with guidance from senior team members.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience, or a PhD degree.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
- Ability to contribute across all project phases.
- Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication, and technical documentation skills.
