Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for the co-branded credit card product and partner integrations.
- Architect secure APIs and event-driven systems that process sensitive financial data at scale.
- Partner with risk, compliance, and platform teams to meet regulatory and security requirements.
- Own reliability and performance for systems processing real-time credit transactions.
- Drive technical decisions balancing scalability, security, and delivery speed.
- Mentor engineers and improve code quality, testing, and operational practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend or distributed-systems development.
- Experience building and operating production-grade APIs and microservices in a regulated or high-compliance environment such as fintech, payments, or banking.
- Proficiency with Node.js or similar modern backend technologies, including TypeScript, NestJS, Go, or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, AWS, and event-driven or microservice-based systems.
- Understanding of data security, PCI compliance, or similar standards for protecting sensitive financial data.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across product, risk, and platform teams.
- A proactive, builder-oriented approach to execution.
