Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, validate, and fine-tune machine-learning and deep-learning models for object detection, classification, and segmentation.
- Integrate and fuse RGB, thermal, LiDAR/ToF, IMU, and encoder data to generate robust real-time regions of interest.
- Research and implement image-processing techniques including deconvolution, low-SNR detection, and motion isolation.
- Integrate and troubleshoot cameras, thermal imagers, LiDAR/ToF modules, and IMUs across GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, CAN, SPI, and I²C.
- Develop and debug embedded C/C++ or Rust firmware for microcontrollers and FPGAs in RTOS environments.
- Build scalable ingestion, labeling, augmentation, and storage pipelines for simulated and field data.
- Optimize GPU/FPGA inference for at least 500 Hz end-to-end throughput.
- Develop dashboards and telemetry for drift analysis, hardware health, performance metrics, and retraining triggers.
- Document technical systems and mentor junior engineers across perception, sensor fusion, and embedded firmware.
Requirements
- 2–6+ years of experience in computer vision, sensor fusion, or robotics perception.
- Strong C++ skills with deep machine-learning engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, and OpenVINO.
- Experience with real-time computer vision, tracking, and detection in real-world conditions.
- Familiarity with ROS2, Docker, and CI/CD for ML pipelines.
- Experience with multisensor calibration and data synchronization.
- Experience deploying perception systems on real hardware against real targets.
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes edge-AI optimization, FPGA or embedded GPU platforms, defense or safety-critical systems, and cybersecurity guidelines or secure coding practices.
