Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Design and implement core software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source code to solve complex problems.
- Enhance, optimize, and increase the robustness of existing codebases as a systems integrator.
- Use infrastructure as code and modern tools to define, build, and manage virtual cloud infrastructure.
- Work autonomously to identify and troubleshoot complex problems while supporting broader strategic goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of platform engineering or software development experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and a current clearance is not required at start; a Secret-level clearance will be processed.
- Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS and working with Kubernetes or a vendor distribution of Kubernetes.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge covering hosts, networks, security, and applications, plus shell scripting proficiency.
- Python or Go programming skills and strong systems integration and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with big-data platforms, CI/CD tools, software-development tool suites, Puppet, Ansible, Maven, virtualization platforms, or DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certifications is preferred or may be required by the customer.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, averaging two days per week at the San Antonio office, with flexibility for schedule changes.
