Base Salary
$167k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement RISC-V integer, floating-point, vector, bit-manipulation, security, interrupt, and other ISA extensions in C++.
- Maintain fetch/decode/execute, memory protection, virtual memory, and privilege-level simulator logic.
- Develop co-simulation infrastructure that compares the simulator with RTL instruction by instruction.
- Write unit tests based on expected behavior from the RISC-V specification.
- Maintain simulator extensions and utilities that improve developer productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of related engineering experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3+ years or a PhD with 2+ years.
- Solid C++ skills and ability to work in unfamiliar codebases.
- Basic processor architecture knowledge, including pipelines, memory, privilege levels, and interrupts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to translate specifications into tested code.
- Exposure to low-level or systems programming, including embedded systems, operating systems, compilers, or hardware description.
- Preferred experience includes RISC-V, x86, ARM, QEMU, Spike, gem5, GDB, ELF binaries, bare-metal bring-up, hardware verification, RTL co-simulation, Linux internals, or Python 3+.
