Responsibilities

  • Bring the perspective of a multi-genre gamer to discussions about gaming peripherals, configurations, and user needs, with FPS experience including Delta Force.
  • Help identify unmet needs in real Chinese gaming scenarios and participate in user testing as both an evaluator and test participant.
  • Build the software portions of proofs of concept using Logitech’s Innovation Quick Prototyping Platform and extend platform components when needed.
  • Collaborate with software and AI engineers to develop desktop applications, console tools, AI agent integrations, and demonstration scripts.
  • Write concise JavaScript code that makes prototype hardware usable and engaging for players.
  • Add basic data collection, including logs, instrumentation, and simple dashboards, to proofs of concept.
  • Turn user-test observations into the next prototype iteration, document learnings, and help maintain a reusable prototype component library.
  • Work closely with firmware, electronics, structural hardware, and UX engineers to run software on real prototype boards.

Requirements

  • Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering, game design, or a related field and seeking an internship before graduation.
  • Independently write, debug, and deliver runnable JavaScript code.
  • Actively use AI programming tools, including writing effective prompts, evaluating generated output, and integrating AI-generated code into projects.
  • Be a long-term player across multiple game genres, with Delta Force required and experience in genres such as MOBA, MMO, racing or simulation, fighting, sandbox, mobile, console, or similar preferred.
  • Have substantial hands-on experience with gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, controllers, and other peripherals, with the ability to explain what works and what does not for specific genres.
  • Be available for on-site work in Suzhou for 4–6 months, preferably full time at least four days per week.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, speed, and willingness to deliver rough but functional work.
  • Preferred experience includes Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, large language model APIs, model training or fine-tuning, computer vision, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, maker projects, competitive gaming or streaming, mod communities, public GitHub projects, and bilingual Chinese-English communication.
