Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated security assurance programs supporting organizational and regulatory compliance.
- Build security observability systems, internal security tooling, automations, and methods that improve the GRC engineering organization.
- Deploy security and compliance checks as developer-enabling guardrails and paved roads in workflows and build pipelines.
- Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle and operational processes across applications, infrastructure, and supply chains.
- Respond to customer security issues, security alerts, and potential incidents.
- Collaborate with security engineers, full-stack developers, customer-facing teams, stakeholders, auditors, and customers.
Requirements
- Production software development experience in at least one programming language, with the ability to discuss algorithms, data structures, optimization, and programming principles in a code screen.
- Experience using and securing containerized, cloud-native applications; Kubernetes experience is preferred.
- Experience automating security and compliance processes with tools, scripts, and frameworks while enabling developer and employee workflows.
- Understanding of security frameworks, standards, and certifications including ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, or GDPR.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with peers, stakeholders, auditors, and customers.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Grafana Labs’ open-source projects, observability tooling, infrastructure compliance automation, open-source communities, and securing large-scale distributed systems in public clouds.
