Base Salary
$97k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and extensively test embedded software and digital signal processing solutions for advanced tactical radio operating systems and waveform software.
- Develop real-time, multithreaded C/C++ software using object-oriented design.
- Evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system designs.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and related documentation.
- Analyze complex existing software systems and identify, track, and repair software defects.
- Contribute to departmental goals and planning efforts while working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with embedded C/C++, object-oriented design, real-time programming, and multithreaded programming.
- Proficiency with DSP and RF concepts and technology.
- Experience with real-time operating systems such as VxWorks RTOS, Linux, or QNX.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and succinctly.
- Must be able to obtain a US security clearance.
- Preferred experience with Git or Bitbucket, continuous integration such as Jenkins, Agile methodology, and wireless networking software system design and development.
