Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end web applications across user interfaces, APIs, and data layers.
- Develop scalable and resilient solutions using modern application architectures and microservices patterns.
- Create and maintain REST APIs and data exchange services using JSON, flat files, and columnar data structures.
- Design metadata-driven and configuration-based solutions for flexibility and ease of change.
- Model database schemas, optimize complex SQL queries, and improve database performance across large-scale platforms.
- Develop and support batch and event-driven processing with focus on concurrency, data integrity, and performance.
- Collaborate with agile squads and participate in testing, deployment, production support, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Java and full-stack development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with relevant professional developer experience in the data and analytics space.
- Strong experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
- Strong user-interface design and development experience with Angular, React, and JavaScript.
- Strong database development experience with Snowflake, Oracle, Sybase, or DB2, including schema design, complex procedures, SQL scripting, query authoring, and performance optimization.
- Experience developing, testing, and supporting multi-tier technology architectures.
- Comfort with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and Excel.
- Knowledge of software development and system implementation life cycles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze and understand data.
- Fluency in both French and English.
