Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage security measures within DevOps pipelines to protect systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to automate security processes and integrate security tools.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, guidelines, and other documentation.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents with timely solutions.
  • Track emerging security threats and technologies to improve the organization’s security posture.
  • Mentor junior team members on DevSecOps best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and standards while maintaining the required security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in DevSecOps, software development, or cybersecurity engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing security measures and managing security tools in a DevOps environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.
  • Experience with federal or defense contracts is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing and automating infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices, security automation, and infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
