Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate applications collaboratively within the team.
- Develop new services in TypeScript across frontend, backend, and infrastructure as code.
- Build event-driven and distributed systems using AWS Lambda, SNS/SQS, and other cloud services.
- Use PostgreSQL on AWS RDS and relational data modeling for complex business requirements.
- Apply domain-driven design and modernize complex legacy processes into services.
- Develop frontend applications with React and backend services with Node.js.
- Use DevOps practices, CI/CD, test automation, and infrastructure as code such as AWS CDK.
Requirements
- Several years of experience developing with TypeScript, particularly with Node.js and ideally React.
- Knowledge of AWS, especially Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS, and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with event-driven and distributed systems and asynchronous communication.
- Knowledge or experience with domain-driven design.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, test automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Very good German language skills at B2-C1 level.
- Willingness to work onsite in Freiburg two to three days per week.
