Responsibilities
- Own and communicate a multi-year technical strategy for addressing actors and coordinated networks that violate integrity policies.
- Scale the end-to-end integrity lifecycle across violations and products while establishing extensible technical foundations, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
- Set technical direction in ambiguous, high-pressure areas involving adaptive adversaries and cross-organizational challenges.
- Partner with product, analytics, legal, policy, compliance, and other teams to develop scalable integrity solutions and trusted success metrics.
- Lead cross-functional, organization-wide engineering initiatives, managing stakeholders, dependencies, milestones, and outcomes.
- Develop and operationalize reliability standards, performance guardrails, quality frameworks, invariants, and architectural improvements.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and provide technical guidance to engineers across the organization.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience building large-scale applications or similar experience.
- 12+ years of programming experience.
- 8+ years of experience with web or mobile technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
- Experience driving large cross-functional or industry-wide engineering efforts.
- Experience mentoring and influencing engineers across organizations.
- Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact.
- Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps that connect shorter-term projects to a long-term vision.
- Preferred experience partnering with legal, policy, or compliance teams on privacy, security, or integrity requirements.
- Preferred experience delivering major product-system improvements through architectural rethinking or ground-up rebuilds.
- Preferred experience defining reliability, performance, or quality frameworks adopted at organizational or company-wide scale.
- Preferred experience using AI-assisted development practices and agent-based workflows to improve engineering productivity.
- Preferred experience building detection, classification, or enforcement systems for abuse, fraud, or safety harms at consumer scale.
- Preferred experience with adversarial problems, trust and safety, risk, fraud, security, or regulated-domain engineering.
