Senior Software Engineer | Remote | AI SaaS Software Role
Process StreetResponsibilities
- Architect and evolve backend systems using Scala, Play, Postgres, and AWS.
- Design and deploy scalable APIs and AI-assisted services.
- Own feature development end to end from ideation through production.
- Build frontend features with React, Chakra, Storybook, and modern state-management tools.
- Develop agent-driven development workflows and use Claude Code and Codex across parallel coding sessions.
- Create internal tooling, prompts, and engineering systems that improve development velocity and code quality.
- Optimize performance across frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipelines.
- Help define best practices for AI-native software development.
- Eventually lead a small team of two to three engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend systems experience with Scala or Java, Ruby, or C#.
- Strong JavaScript and React experience.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
- Comfort with multi-session, agent-driven development workflows.
- Experience designing systems rather than only implementing features.
- Experience or experimentation with LLM-based development workflows, internal tools, prompts, reusable AI workflows, or agent-like systems.
- Excellent written communication and comfort working autonomously in an async-first environment.
- Availability to work in a timezone between UTC -6 and UTC +2.
- Functional programming or internal developer tools experience is a bonus.
