Base Salary
$155k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, maintainable software solutions using object-oriented design principles.
- Develop and maintain ETL and streaming data-ingestion platforms for large-scale data warehousing.
- Build and enhance automation tools and scripts for development and operational workflows.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to improve release reliability and deployment efficiency.
- Apply Test-Driven Development practices to improve software quality and maintainability.
- Tune DB2 database performance, including stored procedures, views, and materialized query tables.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and troubleshoot applications in UNIX/Linux environments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant hands-on software development experience with demonstrated ownership and independent delivery.
- Strong DB2 database administration and real-time database-performance tuning experience.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL, including DB2, PostgreSQL, or Sybase.
- Strong programming skills in Scala, Java, and Python with object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Proficiency with Linux/UNIX command-line usage and shell scripting.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Test-Driven Development, and modern software development lifecycle environments.
- Preferred qualifications include Spark, Snowflake, cloud technologies, Hadoop, MongoDB, AutoSys, Perl, DevOps tooling, automated change management, computer science fundamentals, financial-services experience, business reporting, data design, and data science fundamentals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
