Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain features throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Develop maintainable, reliable, and scalable backend services, APIs, data products, and insights for WMG applications.
- Apply distributed systems and operational excellence practices, including performance measurement, testing, monitoring, paging, and incident management.
- Collaborate with North American engineering teams and engineering leaders to align strategies, processes, and objectives.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues while contributing to continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
- Deep knowledge of AWS or another large cloud computing environment.
- Strong distributed systems skills, including designing for speed and scalability and measuring latency and throughput.
- Strong understanding of APIs, backend services, databases, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
- Strong debugging skills, ownership, adaptability, and commitment to delivering impact in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Databricks Data Products, Snowflake, Python, TypeScript, React, AWS, and Postgres is preferred but not mandatory.
