Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design software systems with peer teams and customers to fulfill mission needs.
- Develop cloud-native software systems in Java and Python.
- Use AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly available software services.
- Design and develop performant systems that meet mission criteria and requirements.
- Build low-latency, highly scalable architecture for generating and executing mission plans.
- Automate key behaviors for the Leo constellation’s space and ground assets.
- Lead technical roadmap definition and decide which features and performance improvements to build.
- Mentor and help onboard new team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export-control requirements.
