Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption, governance, validation standards, and reuse of approved AI-assisted engineering practices and automation across teams.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle toolchain capabilities to improve automation outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Build and operate 24x7 tier-1 online services.
- Promote diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on coding and system design experience with modern enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in one or more of Rust, Java, Go, or C++.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, or troubleshooting.
- Ability to establish expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI usage patterns and controls.
- Experience building and operating 24x7 tier-1 online services.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Preferred familiarity with Apache DataFusion, DuckDB, and Apache Arrow Flight SQL.
