Responsibilities

  • Lead development, integration, and validation of the memory subsystem across pre-silicon platforms and silicon bring-up environments.
  • Collaborate with hardware, validation, platform firmware, and system architecture teams on memory subsystem integration and platform bring-up.
  • Debug system-level issues across hardware and software boundaries involving firmware flows, platform configuration, memory behavior, and system interactions.
  • Optimize memory subsystem correctness, performance, latency, bandwidth, reliability, and power efficiency.
  • Review designs, implementation plans, validation results, and critical code while contributing hands-on when needed.
  • Line manage 3–5 engineers through goal setting, coaching, feedback, performance evaluation, and capability development.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams in the memory subsystem domain.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of industry experience building complex firmware or low-level system software.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience and a strong record of technical delivery.
  • Experience developing firmware on pre-silicon and silicon platforms, preferably Arm-based systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of memory subsystem enablement, including memory initialization, platform configuration, controller and PHY interaction, training flows, error handling, performance tuning, or bring-up debugging.
  • Strong technical judgment in assessing trade-offs, managing technical risk, and debugging ambiguous system-level failures.
  • Experience working across hardware and software with hardware build, validation, system architecture, platform firmware, and QA teams.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience with server or infrastructure platforms and customer- or production-facing environments.
  • Preferred understanding of Arm system architecture, boot flows, firmware interfaces, OS fundamentals, device drivers, and platform configuration.
  • Preferred experience with DDR, LPDDR, memory controllers, PHY initialization, ECC, RAS, memory performance analysis, or board and silicon bring-up.
  • Preferred understanding of testing strategies, CI, validation planning, release readiness, and defect triage.
  • Preferred experience working in globally distributed teams.

Benefits

  • Hybrid working patterns are determined by each team, with role-specific details provided during the application process.
  • Recruitment accommodations are available, including interview breaks, documents read aloud, and office accessibility support.
