Base Salary
$135k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, validate, debug, profile, and optimize embedded real-time software for complex SoCs.
- Drive embedded system software architecture for CPU, NPU, bus, memory, cache, Edge AI, and multimedia use cases.
- Develop and work with hardware drivers, operating systems, multithreaded programs, and inter-processor communications.
- Evaluate and optimize application performance for ARM architectures using QEMU, simulators, emulators, and on-silicon testing.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to define system-level software solutions and interfaces.
- Support SDKs that enable customer and community development.
- Provide cross-team technical leadership across system and hardware organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 5+ years; or a PhD plus 4+ years.
- 3+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with operating systems, multithreaded programming, hardware drivers, and embedded real-time environments.
- Strong knowledge of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals, ARM ISA, and CPU accelerator ISA for vector/matrix data processing.
- Experience evaluating and optimizing application performance for ARM architectures.
- Understanding of open-source library framework design.
- Strong leadership, analytical, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
