Responsibilities
- Build the next generation of security tools used by Snowflake engineers to develop and secure the flagship product.
- Evolve security infrastructure and tooling to be elastic, large-scale, highly performant, and simple.
- Partner with product managers to define quarterly and long-term team roadmaps and technical strategy.
- Ensure the team addresses current customer needs while preparing for future demands, including AI security and security for AI-driven systems.
- Design and implement security services and tools, including guardrails, scanning, or policy controls for AI-assisted software development.
- Support enterprise-grade, multi-tenant systems with attention to reliability, performance, isolation, and security.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of industry experience developing tools and backend services, preferably in security.
- Fluency in at least one of Rust, Python, or Golang.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- A track record of flawless technical execution and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with strong ownership and strategic thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and outstanding written and verbal English skills.
