Responsibilities
- Build and manage services that detect and automatically mitigate cybersecurity threats across AWS infrastructure.
- Identify security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Apply offensive and defensive security tactics, vulnerability identification, attack-pattern analysis, and remediation techniques.
- Write tools and automation, troubleshoot systems, analyze logs, and conduct security code reviews.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software development engineers, security engineers, customers, government agencies, and senior AWS leadership.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to security programs and processes covering personnel, physical and logical accreditation, training, assurance, and cybersecurity.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Non-internship experience identifying industry-based security vulnerabilities, attack patterns, and remediation techniques.
- Non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
- Non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks with command-line tools.
- Experience leading as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Experience applying threat modeling or other risk-identification techniques is preferred.
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures, microservices, and web services is preferred.
- Must be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance.
