Responsibilities
- Design, write, maintain, and sustain clean, efficient, secure, and scalable software code.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, application programmers, and QA/test engineers to integrate software components.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Develop and update software design specifications, user guides, release notes, and other technical documentation.
- Remediate software vulnerabilities and ensure code complies with DoD cybersecurity and Information Assurance guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant software development and sustainment experience.
- Secret clearance is preferred.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant computing environment or developer certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Preferred experience includes Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent certification.
- Preferred experience includes transitioning legacy systems to modern cloud-based architectures and a strong background in DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
