Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement highly scalable distributed systems using Java, microservices, and event-driven design patterns.
- Write efficient, maintainable production code focused on data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and system-level optimization.
- Lead end-to-end system design, including API contracts, service decomposition, and latency, throughput, consistency, and fault-tolerance trade-offs.
- Build and optimize low-latency, high-throughput APIs and backend services with reliability, resiliency, and observability at scale.
- Investigate performance bottlenecks using profiling, benchmarking, and debugging tools.
- Design and implement distributed data-processing pipelines for large-scale datasets.
- Own critical components, lead code and design reviews, and enforce high engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and DevOps teams to influence technical roadmaps and architectural direction.
- Mentor engineers through pair programming, code walkthroughs, and design guidance.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of hands-on backend development experience using Java.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and microservices.
- Experience building data-processing pipelines with Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
- Strong experience building large-scale, cloud-native systems.
- Working knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, or Big Data technologies is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced product environment.
