Responsibilities
- Design agent reasoning for complex, customer-specific freight scenarios.
- Solve entity resolution and data integration problems across diverse data sources.
- Build evaluation and reliability frameworks for agent decisions before deployment into customer workflows.
- Define orchestration patterns that scale agentic capabilities across products.
- Implement, integrate, fine-tune, and optimize generative AI models and machine learning algorithms.
- Build and deploy scalable AI-driven features in collaboration with engineers and data scientists.
- Contribute to frontend and backend development for AI-powered software applications.
- Participate in architecture discussions and design AI/ML-enabled product features.
- Optimize AI/ML pipelines, refactor code, and troubleshoot model performance and system integration issues.
- Write unit and integration tests for AI/ML models and software components.
- Stay current with generative AI and machine learning advances and propose creative business solutions.
- Share AI/ML best practices and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related coding-oriented technical field, such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience as a software or data engineer.
- At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
- Experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks including Google ADK, LangChain/Graph, Anthropic, GPT, Gemini, Llama, Vertex, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn.
- Experience training and fine-tuning machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning approaches.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technologies including Python, SQL, ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Apache Beam, dbt, and BigQuery.
- Knowledge of application architectures, security best practices, data integration, databases, data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Airflow.
- Understanding of distributed data management systems and related applications.
- Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure design, tools, and strategies.
- Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and Scrum software development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Product-focused technology team experience is preferred.
- Technical problem-solving experience and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges are preferred.
