Base Salary

$113k - $238k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test Apache Accumulo features supporting large content and metadata repositories.
  • Develop web-based user interfaces, web services, and REST-based APIs for search and operational data presentation.
  • Develop and deploy parallel algorithms for analytics on petabyte-scale operational metadata.
  • Analyze requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications for cloud solutions.
  • Install, configure, integrate, evaluate, enhance, monitor, support, and maintain cloud software solutions.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and system test plans and diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Conduct Apache Accumulo training with hands-on configuration and programming exercises.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of combined programming experience within the last 10 years using Java, C++, or Python.
  • At least 5 years within the last 7 years designing and developing applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments.
  • At least 3 years within the last 3 years working with distributed NoSQL products such as HBase, Apache Accumulo, or Bigtable.
  • At least 1 year within the last 3 years of MapReduce experience and at least 1 year of HDFS experience.
  • At least 1 year within the last 3 years performing requirements analysis and design for object-oriented systems.
  • At least 6 months within the past 2 years developing with Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Computing Services.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an associate degree plus two years of programming experience, or five years of programming experience as a substitute.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required to start.
  • A master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
