Base Salary
$79k - $128k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis and assess data management requirements for platforms, journeys, products, and pods.
- Acquire and ingest data and maintain knowledge of upstream data through profiling, quality reporting, and metadata.
- Develop and maintain complex data models, including entity relationship diagrams and dimensional data models.
- Develop and maintain complex ETL jobs and frameworks using standard bank tools.
- Define and implement data lifecycle management, governance, lineage, metadata, and enterprise data standards.
- Support development, testing, SIT/UAT/PAT activities, and resolution of complex data and application issues.
- Communicate complex technical designs and development details to non-technical business partners.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code management, packaging, deployment, release management, and post-implementation support.
- Lead data engineering initiatives and contribute to data governance capabilities and engineering best practices.
- Document technical decisions, risks, lessons learned, and enhancements while managing organizational risks.
- Mentor and enable team members, share knowledge, and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate in data management or a related discipline such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Azure Data Factory, big data, ETL, data engineering, and GitHub or Bitbucket.
- At least 1 year of experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, CI/CD and DevOps practices, data governance and lineage, and cloud migration or modernization.
- Advanced ability to develop and optimize distributed data transformations, complex queries, ingestion pipelines, orchestration workflows, and data validation logic.
- Ability to investigate complex data and application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and develop practical solutions.
- Knowledge of data integration patterns, batch and streaming processing, pipeline design, performance, scalability, reliability, metadata, catalogs, lineage, quality controls, and enterprise governance.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners and collaborate across technology and business teams.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $79,160 to $127,670 USD.
