Responsibilities
- Develop playback services that provide secure and reliable access to content.
- Build capabilities and frameworks that respond continuously to security events.
- Design and maintain secure integrations between playback and security services.
- Strengthen playback flows against unauthorized access and misuse.
- Improve content protection across the entire delivery chain.
- Build operational security interfaces and monitor and troubleshoot production services.
- Own code quality, security, and production behavior while collaborating with other engineering specialists.
Requirements
- Solid experience developing backend services with Node.js.
- Experience building secure, reliable, and scalable services, including REST APIs and distributed or event-driven systems.
- Experience deploying services and infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production services.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and access control.
- Experience or willingness to learn AI-assisted development tools.
- Collaborative approach to engineering and willingness to take ownership of delivered work.
- Bonus: experience with playback services, access revocation, blocking frameworks, or security enforcement APIs.
- Bonus: knowledge of HLS, MPEG-DASH, CDNs, or DRM.
- Bonus: experience with Rust or Java, or willingness to learn them.
