Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications using Python and PHP backends and JavaScript-based or server-rendered frontends.
- Develop user-facing interfaces, RESTful APIs, service-layer logic, and integrations with data stores.
- Build and maintain internal Model Context Protocol servers connecting Apple tools and data to AI systems.
- Own well-scoped frontend and backend engineering tasks while partnering with senior engineers.
- Work with growing independence to contribute to reliable, user-centred enterprise platforms.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Python and/or PHP for backend web development.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frontend development using React, Vue, or server-rendered templates.
- Understanding of relational databases and basic data modelling.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Preferred: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience shipping production web applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with Flask, FastAPI, Laravel, or Symfony.
- Preferred: exposure to MCP, LLM APIs, or other AI tooling and integrations.
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS or containerised deployments.
- Preferred: understanding of authentication, authorisation, and API security patterns.
