Responsibilities
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems while evaluating performance, complexity, cost, and long-term maintainability tradeoffs.
- Build, test, maintain, and optimize full-stack software across frontend, backend, APIs, services, and data layers.
- Contribute to deployment pipelines, monitoring, observability, release management, and production operations.
- Own features and technical projects from discovery and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, scalability constraints, and technical debt, and determine appropriate solutions.
- Communicate technical approaches, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, pairing, design discussions, knowledge sharing, and constructive code reviews.
- Contribute to architecture, engineering decisions, technical direction, tooling, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to support implementation, debugging, testing, documentation, research, and technical problem solving while validating quality and security.
Requirements
- Proven full-stack expertise delivering high-quality backend and frontend solutions.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, AWS, Next.js, Node.js, C#/.NET, Go, and Postgres, or the ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and tools quickly.
- Strong computer science foundations in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, parallelism, asynchronous programming, networking, and system design.
- Experience independently solving complex technical problems and owning meaningful projects through design, development, deployment, and production support.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and developer efficiency.
- Strong communication, collaboration, debate, feedback, and technical decision-making skills.
- Prior experience in fintech, lending, or consumer financial products is preferred but not required.
