Responsibilities
- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable training, orchestration, and experimentation infrastructure for state-of-the-art model development.
- Develop tooling for experiment tracking, automated profiling, hyperparameter tuning, and ML lifecycle bottleneck resolution.
- Build and scale ETL data pipelines for multimodal video, radar, flight telemetry, and simulation data.
- Deploy high-throughput, low-latency model-serving frameworks across cloud and air-gapped tactical edge hardware.
- Develop ML CI/CD pipelines with automated regression testing, validation benchmarks, and safe rollout and rollback strategies.
- Implement model evaluation, validation, and RLHF/DPO alignment pipelines for predictable and safe deployments.
- Partner with AI researchers and computer vision engineers to translate modeling requirements into reusable infrastructure.
- Mentor peers, conduct design and code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building and operating production-scale ML infrastructure or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or C++, including software engineering fundamentals, systems design, and concurrent programming.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed training frameworks such as PyTorch Distributed, Ray, Slurm, or Megatron-LM.
- Experience building and maintaining distributed data pipelines for large-scale unstructured or multimodal datasets.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end from technical design through production deployment and operational monitoring.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: experience deploying ML infrastructure, model serving, or artifacts in secure, air-gapped, or regulated environments such as IL5, IL6, or GovCloud.
- Preferred: experience profiling GPU or accelerator workloads, resolving hardware and network bottlenecks, and optimizing compute utilization.
- Preferred: experience supporting Large Language Model, Generative AI, or Reinforcement Learning pipelines.
- Preferred: experience with multi-tenant cluster management, fair scheduling, GPU slicing, and quota enforcement.
- Preferred: familiarity with ML observability frameworks, data drift detection, and automated evaluation pipelines.
