Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex business logic and user experiences for native iOS applications used by field technicians.
- Integrate and optimize backend services, APIs, authentication, caching, and reliable data synchronization.
- Refactor and modernize the existing iOS codebase to improve stability, maintainability, performance, and execution speed.
- Establish standards for testing, debugging, error handling, accessibility, and application performance.
- Investigate issues across the full application stack and identify root causes.
- Help evaluate and integrate AI capabilities into iOS applications and the proprietary mobile framework while balancing performance, reliability, privacy, and user experience.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with Swift and substantial experience developing production iOS applications using Xcode and the Apple SDK ecosystem.
- Experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit, Swift Concurrency, Combine, URLSession, Core Data, and other Apple frameworks.
- Understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, dependency management, state management, networking, local persistence, and maintainable code organization.
- Experience integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, including asynchronous operations, authentication, error handling, caching, and synchronization.
- Understanding of offline and distributed application behavior, including local storage, retries, conflict resolution, and eventual consistency.
- Backend competency sufficient to understand, troubleshoot, and debug services supporting the iOS application.
- Experience with iOS performance profiling and debugging tools such as Instruments and Xcode debugging tools, including memory and performance analysis.
- Fundamental understanding of AI inference, model capabilities, latency, resource consumption, and mobile AI tradeoffs.
