Base Salary
$177k - $365k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve the efficiency of large scale shared environments like Kubernetes.
- Enhance the performance and efficiency of distributed systems driving Pinterest's operations.
- Develop profiling and optimization capabilities for Pinterest scale.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering and SRE teams to ensure resilient and efficient tech foundations.
- Leverage AI for performance investigations and to build self-service efficiency tools.
- Iterate on optimization approaches and validate impact through experiments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure capacity and performance.
- Experience leading efficiency initiatives on Kubernetes or similar infrastructure.
- Strong technical and performance engineering skills.
- Experience building and managing highly available distributed applications.
- Proficiency in software development languages such as Java, Python, and C++.
- Excellent communication skills for complex technical issues.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to enhance workflow.
- Strong track record of evaluating AI-assisted work.
