Responsibilities
- Build, configure, maintain, and support Redis platform environments across development, testing, disaster recovery, and production.
- Onboard applications to the Enterprise Redis platform and advise on high availability, performance, scalability, and architecture practices.
- Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability and support operational reliability.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems, Linux operating systems, networking, cloud infrastructure, and application integration issues.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, configuration management, disaster recovery exercises, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations.
- Develop automation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code methods.
- Improve observability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards.
- Create and maintain runbooks, standards, engineering procedures, and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud engineering teams on secure, resilient platform solutions.
- Support AWS and hybrid-infrastructure cloud modernization initiatives and follow governance, risk, and control requirements.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting Linux-based enterprise platforms in production environments.
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, operating system, network, and application-related issues.
- Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python, Shell, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, performance tuning, and operational resilience.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure practices.
- Preferred experience administering Redis Enterprise or open-source Redis environments and supporting distributed data, database, caching, or search platforms.
- Preferred experience with AWS services including EC2, EBS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Preferred experience with Chef, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Dynatrace, containerized or cloud-native technologies, TLS/SSL certificates, load balancing, and platform security controls.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, prioritization, ownership, and continuous-improvement skills.
