Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BCG’s microservices platform as part of the global IT cloud and platform engineering team.
- Gather and implement feedback from platform consumers using engineering best practices.
- Design and implement hands-on solutions with AWS, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform, Docker, Jenkins, CircleCI, Octopus, and Packer.
- Resolve complex technical issues and independently coordinate additional resources when needed.
- Engage senior stakeholders, present and evangelize the platform, influence direction, and articulate risks and secure roadmaps.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, business stakeholders, global colleagues, and offshore development teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with AWS and microservices-based architecture, including hands-on low-level AWS experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 8+ years of experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, Octopus, or other CI/CD tools.
- 4+ years of experience with Packer or Terraform.
- Experience working in Agile development teams and with distributed or offshore teams.
- AWS certifications are preferred.
- Application development experience and experience with Kubernetes add-ons, security, monitoring, and scaling are preferred.
