Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Convex’s global cloud infrastructure.
- Investigate and improve the performance and reliability of systems.
- Prioritize projects in collaboration with the engineering team and CTO.
- Establish good practices and reliability guidelines as the team scales.
- Write high-quality systems and database code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with infrastructure at scale.
- Deep knowledge of systems design and operational best practices.
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
- Interest in working in-person at Convex's office in San Francisco.
- Ability to write high-quality code, with Rust knowledge as a plus.
- A deep understanding of user-facing live-site service demands.
