Responsibilities
- Engineer, integrate, configure, and operate enterprise security tools across endpoint, identity, cloud, network, and application domains.
- Maintain integrations among SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, identity, and cloud security platforms.
- Improve security data quality, enrichment, correlation, alerting, and response consistency.
- Develop engineering standards, configuration guidance, operational playbooks, and scalable documentation.
- Provide senior-level technical support for complex incidents, escalations, root-cause analysis, and lessons learned.
- Participate in on-call or escalation rotations and provide operational guidance to managed server provider technicians.
- Drive security platform improvement through tuning, automation, simplification, and evaluation of new tools and features.
- Contribute to the security engineering roadmap and mentor team members without formal people management responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of cybersecurity experience across multiple security domains or tools.
- Hands-on experience engineering and operating enterprise security platforms.
- Strong understanding of security operations and incident response workflows.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous or early-stage environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: experience building or modernizing a security engineering function.
- Preferred: automation or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or APIs.
- Preferred: experience with SOAR or security automation platforms.
- Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred: relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or cloud security certifications.
