Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure customer-facing CIAM application services and modern web experiences.
- Build backend services, reusable CIAM components, APIs, authentication flows, and account-management capabilities.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, FIDO2/WebAuthn, passwordless authentication, and multifactor authentication solutions.
- Develop custom CIAM integrations, authentication actions, hooks, policies, workflows, and enterprise application integrations.
- Implement API authentication, authorization, throttling, rate limiting, abuse protection, encryption, and secure secrets management.
- Deploy CIAM services in Azure and automate configuration releases across development, test, and production environments.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automated security and quality testing using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
- Support security testing, vulnerability remediation, penetration testing, application security reviews, production troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Contribute to next-generation CIAM capabilities including risk-based access, transaction authorization, behavioral analytics, identity threat detection, decentralized identity, verifiable credentials, and policy-based authorization.
- Explore AI/ML, agentic AI, and MCP capabilities for identity operations, customer support, fraud detection, and security use cases.
- Collaborate with product owners, technical leaders, stakeholders, and engineers during platform design and knowledge-sharing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Typically 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including at least 2 years working with IAM or CIAM technologies.
- Full-stack development experience with enterprise-grade web applications and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, CIAM/IAM integrations, and API security.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Docker, Kubernetes, databases, QA testing, version control, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience communicating with stakeholders during design sessions and helping engineers develop their skills.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
