Responsibilities
- Develop C and C++ firmware for laser controllers and measurement-based embedded devices.
- Develop C#/.NET/Qt software for next-generation applications and maintain legacy software and firmware products.
- Participate in software and firmware architecture, technical reviews, and preparation of design specifications.
- Create test plans and direct functional and unit testing activities.
- Participate in board bring-up, debugging, and validation with hardware and test engineers.
- Work on real-time monitoring and control, signal processing, data acquisition, logging, precision timing, system control, and interrupt handling.
- Prepare project task schedules and cost estimates and optimize system operational and performance requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing with .NET and C#.
- 10+ years of firmware development experience with C/C++ for embedded microcontroller-based systems.
- Experience with STM32, MSP430, NXP i.MX6, NVIDIA Tegra, or PIC systems.
- Experience with mixed-signal analog and digital I/O, metrology, communication protocols, and embedded debugging.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot circuits to the signal level using meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Experience with QNX, IAR, FreeRTOS, Visual Studio, Git, Subversion, and WPF.
- Experience implementing the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science; an MSEE is a plus.
- Python programming experience is a bonus.
- Strong communication, organization, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
