Senior Software Engineer

- Own delivery of software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize for end-user value.
- Design and implement scalable software with an architecture that supports future capability evolution.
- Develop reusable software services across Anduril product lines.
- Develop software running on and off robotic platforms.
- Design and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software, including lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
- Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures.
- Troubleshoot, support, deploy, and sustain remotely operated software systems.
- Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
- Serve as a technical owner and lead across major subsystems or systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor Software Engineers.
- Travel up to 20% to work with end-users and other teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in one or more relevant domains or technologies.
- Systems or application programming skills covering algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work across the software stack and full lifecycle from design and implementation through operation and sustainment.
- Ability to own a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmap management, coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and build team cohesion and capacity.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
- Preferred experience delivering military mission systems in a senior role.
- Preferred experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, and/or Go.
- Preferred experience developing frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- Preferred experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies, embedded robotics software, modeling and simulation, safety-critical software, and product delivery through manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts is preferred.
