Responsibilities
- Design diagnostics for memory subsystems, caches, and DDR/GDDR/DRAM technologies.
- Code, debug, and optimize functional and stress tests for memory subsystems and system-on-chip hardware IP.
- Develop diagnostic tests for pre-silicon hardware emulators and post-silicon hardware and platform validation.
- Identify and resolve chip, board, firmware, and hardware/software issues through debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Improve test frameworks and architectures for hardware coverage, debuggability, and quality.
- Develop production-ready test solutions across ATE platforms, wafer sort, functional testing, and screening-pattern development.
- Use AI-powered coding assistants, agents, and analysis tools to accelerate software development, review, optimization, triage, and debugging while validating outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with JEDEC specifications and DDR memory standards.
- Experience developing and executing DRAM or memory stress tests covering bandwidth, latency, data integrity, address patterns, and retention across memory controllers and channels.
- Working knowledge of PCIe, high-speed interfaces, and PC architecture.
- Experience with diagnostic, device-driver, firmware, or embedded software development in large-scale Linux environments.
- Experience collaborating on hardware/software issues, production failures, and failure-analysis challenges.
- Experience designing and optimizing object-oriented software using modern C++, Git, and Gerrit.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and own testing, issue triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience or interest in using AI coding assistants, agents, and analysis tools while validating generated code and findings.
