Responsibilities

  • Design and implement full-stack web applications using modern frameworks.
  • Build software tools and APIs supporting mission automation, ground testing, and telemetry processing.
  • Write robust, maintainable, and tested software used by operators and engineers during critical mission phases.
  • Collaborate with flight software engineers, GNC personnel, and mission operators.
  • Work on-site in Redondo Beach, California, for the internship duration and potentially work overtime.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience building and shipping software projects using Python and/or JavaScript.
  • Ability to understand complex system interactions and communicate technical tradeoffs effectively.
  • Preferred experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django and RESTful API design.
  • Preferred familiarity with Vue.js or React, frontend component libraries, and state management.
  • Preferred exposure to telemetry, commanding, or satellite operations concepts.
  • Preferred experience developing internal tools or dashboards for hardware or operational teams.
  • Comfort working in Linux and using Git and testing frameworks.
  • Must be willing and able to work on-site in Redondo Beach, California.
  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. Government space technology export-control authorization requirements.
