Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automation frameworks for endpoint enrollment, provisioning, configuration, application delivery, patching, compliance, and device retirement.
- Build reusable tools, services, APIs, and event-driven workflows using PowerShell and other programming languages.
- Integrate endpoint platforms with identity, security, infrastructure, asset, and service-management systems.
- Use Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration-as-code practices for controlled and auditable endpoint changes.
- Automate application packaging, deployment, updating, rollback, operating-system patching, vulnerability remediation, and exception handling.
- Create policy-as-code controls, security guardrails, telemetry, dashboards, alerting, audit evidence collection, and remediation workflows.
- Define endpoint automation architecture, engineering standards, operating models, and a roadmap to reduce operational effort and platform fragmentation.
- Evaluate endpoint platform capabilities and APIs, troubleshoot cross-system failures, and turn recurring incidents into automated detection, remediation, or prevention.
- Document automation designs and support procedures and enable teams to use the solutions effectively.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building automation for endpoint operations in a modern enterprise environment.
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Windows Autopilot, endpoint compliance, and automation through supported interfaces.
- Production-quality automation experience using PowerShell, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, or other programming languages.
- Experience automating application packaging, deployment, patching, and vulnerability-remediation workflows.
- Practical knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, secrets management, and controlled configuration deployment.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security, modern identity, and interactions among devices, cloud services, and automation platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Valuable additional experience includes macOS and Jamf, Linux endpoint management, mobile device-management platforms, Azure or other cloud services, infrastructure or configuration as code, release pipelines, vulnerability-management, endpoint-security or observability platforms, SSO, OAuth, SQL, and data-analysis technologies.
