Responsibilities
- Own quality attestations and production release signoff as a Quality Engineering subject matter expert.
- Define and evolve test automation and quality engineering strategies aligned with architecture and business goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI, API, data, performance, resilience, and nonfunctional test frameworks and suites.
- Create comprehensive test scenarios and lead functional, nonfunctional, regression, and release testing activities.
- Drive shift-left testing through early test design, automation, and engineering collaboration.
- Track and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and delivery impacts to stakeholders.
- Analyze production incidents and defects to identify root causes and improvements.
- Improve test coverage, reduce defect leakage, and increase production stability.
- Guide, mentor, and provide technical leadership to QA engineers while collaborating with developers, product owners, and platform teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent degree or experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in quality engineering or test automation roles.
- Senior QA and automation experience, preferably in financial services, asset management, regulated environments, or complex enterprise systems.
- Hands-on coding experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, C#, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and design patterns.
- Strong experience with API testing, data validation, distributed systems, performance testing, and RDBMS/SQL.
- Ability to define and lead QA initiatives that produce measurable quality improvements.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, BDD/Cucumber, and API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and cross-functional influence skills.
- Preferred familiarity with investment management, risk, regulatory, or data-intensive platforms.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development or testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
